This light meter measures illuminance. This is a measure of the intensity of the incident light. Precisely this is the measurement of the total luminous flux incident on a surface, per unit area. The meter reads out in either LUX of Foot Candles.You should have between 110 to125 Foot Candles of illumination on your product samples for color judgment.
